The MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification Scheme is a capacity building initiative, relaunched by MoMSME In April 2022. By most comparable standards, it is a comprehensive maturity model with 20 core parameters for manufacturing excellence. Effectiveness of implementation is done through conformity assessments for Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) Certification. This scheme is aimed to promote awareness, offer financial & technical handholding support to enable the MSME to become competitive in the global market place.
There are 3 levels of Certification, viz., Bronze, Silver and Gold. The model is so structured that upon fulfilling the basic first 5 parameters, the entity can qualify for the Bronze level certification. Bronze certification is the first step that makes an MSME eligible for financial subsistence and technical handholding support to understand, implement and gain certification to Silver & Gold levels. It requires compliance to 14 parameters for Silver and all 20 parameters for Gold certifications.
Serapis is empanelled as a Consultant Organisation with the Quality Council of India (QCI) to guide and provide handholding support & training to MSME to achieve Silver and Gold levels of ZED Certification. This handholding is defined with a deadline of 17 weeks (say 4 months / 120 days) from the start to prepare the MSME to independently achieve the desired certification level.
With a pool of seasoned consultants, who have helped organisations of varied size, domain and complexity we have the global expertise at local reach to train, coach, mentor and guide the MSME through handholding to reach their goal in time.
In addition, we also help them objectively review the deficiencies and plug the reported gaps, demonstrate compliance and earn the certification. We adopt a holistic approach to enable the MSME to understand, become capable to independently implement, maintain, achieve and sustain the ZED Certification and embark on the process of ongoing improvement.
We work with OEM to strategise and roll-out ZED certification of its suppliers for strengthening their supply chain resilience and sustainability. Carefully formed clusters with common talent pool have brought in healthy competition and helped in benchmarking their performance and maturity.
